Your water and wells are most important to me! Looking to the future it is necessary to maintain our overall low development density to protect our wells, septic, resources, and our property. The current development does not require one house per acre. With open space, large and small homes and limited commercial can be built, as long as they maintain the overall low density, and built in a way that is compatible with neighboring property, and not over burden our roads, schools and infrastructure.
I attended many meetings last year where the town met with developers, to specifically promote PD‑Planned Developments with no density standards, no specific zoning, and no comments allowed from the public! Town is still working closely with developers to push through a PD Ordinance that concerns me. (Click here to view the flyer that I sent January 2017) link to FlyerPDJan2017.pdf)
I support the low density standards that have served us well through our growth for over 20 years as well as specific zoning so that you will know what will be built in our community. I am asking for YOUR Vote on November 7th to preserve and protect our Rural Summerfield.
